Strategy To renovate a vintage 1918 waterfront resort with a luminous past as a Northwest landmark – elevating it to four-star status while staying true to its character as “the spirit of Hood Canal.”     Story In completely renovating Alderbrook, we created an even brighter future for this beachfront legend. Guest rooms and a flock of beachside cottages have the kicked-back, easy-going ambiance of private seaside residences. Interiors mix nostalgic appeal with a contemporary attitude that invites relaxation, renewal and play. Together with its new waterfront restaurant and Asian-inspired spa, we designed the rebirth of Alderbrook to provide not only a sense of place, but a sense of belonging.
